Although this Sunday was a rather cloudy/drizzly day, one forgot the miserable weather immediately within the art-laden walls of Limor and Serge's gracious home.

We enjoyed a superb (!) brunch buffet, put together (it seemed, effortlessly) by Limor Tiroche - the session's host. Salmon roulade, strawberries & cream, homemade muffins, mouth-watering quiches - just to mention a few of the delectable edibles. The beautiful, spring-heralding poppy flowers didn't miss our attention either... Many thanks for your wonderful efforts Limor!

Serge Tiroche, with his many years of experience in the art business, took the time to research and subsequently, bring across the intricacies of ART AS AN ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT. He covered the fascinating arena of the art market structure & trends, the key players - and gave us concrete insight into who should buy art and how. We also received excellent backup documentation to peruse more closely on our own... who would have thought that an art index spanning the last 24 years, closely mirrors the other biggies (Nikkei 225, Dow Jones Ind. Avg. etc.). Serge, for the outstanding presentation and discussion - our sincerest thanks.

All in all - an oustanding kick-off to the first season of BWAD 1999!
